Riley 12/4 Special

Rob Blakemore has plentty of experience of racing classic cars, his father owned and raced an Aston Martin Ulster, so it was inevitable Rob would continue the passion established by his father. Rob is currently managing director of Ecurie Bertelli, Vintage Aston Martin Specialists

In 2007 Rob bought a Riley 12/4 Special. Since then this car has been raced by (at least) Rob himself, Steve Gordon, and Steve Skipworth, often sharing the car, with a mixture of great results, and mechanical failures.

The first event was a sprint race at Goodwood, where Rob finished 2nd overall, and Steve Gordon finished 3rd. This was followed up with a handicap race at Silverstone, and the car has also raced overseas in Portugal.
